Sweet Space

It is a rare moment,

unplanned,

that the sweet space

deep inside

seemingly untouchable,

where most cannot

get to

or even dare to discover.

Underneath,

in between,

unknowingly

open.

Turning the angle,

reframed,

a brightened

view

in the dark,

sighing

in

silent

tender

enchantment.

And He Prayed

For Lynn, the man who prays for anyone who pops into his head at anytime…many a prayer he has said for me and for this I am truly appreciative.  The power of prayer, no doubt, is a potent tool.

Thoughts come in

about anyone

at any given time

and the

prayers

overflow

out of the bubbling fountain.

Each  jewel,

each

crystal,

pristine,

perfect

bubble

is

a

prayer

for

you

and

you

and

you

and

when the bubble bursts,

the blessing

is

now.

Paying Homage

Winding around Hwy 61,

sunshiney,

refreshing 32 degree winter morning,

scoping for eagles  in trees,

illegally texting my son a question

about why he is sad,

instanteously running out of gas,

unable to get cell phone reception.

Hitch hiking along this scenic highway,

the first car drives by,

the second stops.

She says I look like a million bucks

and

can’t understand why the first car

didn’t stop.

I was returning from

paying a seatbelt ticket

$110 dollars

didn’t fight it,

we exchange ticket stories for the duration

of the drive back to town.

Paying the fine late,

texting illegally,

running out of gas,

not really leverging the power of the

Universe.

Good samaritan,

classy grey haired energetic baby boomer woman shining in gold like the sun,

you pick me up,

tell me twice

I look like a million bucks.

That is an inside job.

My insides feel like I radiate

a million bucks just from

sheer,

pure,

innocent joy

like the beautiful snow covered oaks,

ash, maples, and pines,

cathedral-like and magestic

in their virginity

along the side of the road.

Well,

it is time to pay homage

to the gifts all around me,

and I know the answer

before I even ask the question.

Get Thee to Madison

With great vim and great vigor,

the young teachers and state workers

gathered and

sang patriotic songs

at the Capitol

staking their claim on

being American

enough

to deserve the

benefits

so rightly claimed

long ago.

Tea party-ers due to

arrive on Saturday

and the fourteen

Democratic senators have

fled to the Illinois border

to drink beer, perhaps,

and sauna at the local hotel,

a little R and R

while

the governor

benevolently

through semi-

History in the Making

dictatorial, tough-love boldness,

makes history.

Vortex of Bliss

Full moon rises

against blue black velvet,

I am there again

waking up at dusk

to

the call of

the wild wolf

howling out,

it is the gold zone,

the vortex of bliss,

this

life time,

in this little town on the river

living minute by insatiable minute.

It does indeed feel

like I had to fly to get here.

Vortex of bliss,

paradise,

love chamber of the Universe,

my passion bursts forth,

no stone is left unturned,

I feel the angels’ presence

and I know luck had everything

to do with it

as did God.

Are they one and the same?

Temple on Earth

My body is my temple on Earth,

fuel efficient,

beautiful inside and out

in all its imperfections,

a gift from the Universe

and my mom and dad.

As long as I put good in it,

maximizing nutrients and

potent water,

as long as I breathe cleansing

deep breaths of fresh air,

as long as I move and generate

energy from deep within my cell

membranes to the nucleus of each

cell,

as long as I keep stress-factors

at arms length and

be still on occasion

to listen

to what messages

come forth from my body,

and tweak and make the

necessary adjustments,

the temple that is my body

will remain vibrant,

reverberating the rhythms

of the Earth’s pulse.

Rest.

Sleep deeply.

Take care of the temple.

Radiate joy and feel alive

from the inside out.

Robust health is our birthright.

“The physical body is a temple.  Take care of it.”

Motherlove–Love Poem #8

Unending,

wrapped in a warm comforter,

the most

consistent,

enduring,

infinitely

without condition,

unyielding,

unstoppable,

growing

bigger

by the minute,

love

ever,

unconditional

mommybear

love.
